Accountability &
Responsibility

Holding Ourselves Accountable

The Whigham School is a non-profit organization. All operations and finances are overseen by one of school’s two active boards: the Operating Board of Directors. All financial transactions and systems will be reviewed by an outside, independent accounting firm which will report annually on the financial health of the organization. All future planning and development, as well as operational and financial oversight will also be managed by the Advisory Board of Directors and a separate group of Student Investors & Program Donors to ensure The Whigham School is being managed properly both in terms of operations and finances.

Our Charter

The Whigham School is a non-profit organization dedicated to the training of future leaders to do substantial good in the world. Everyone that works for the school, invests in the school, or attends the school will pledge to keep The Whigham School accountable to its original purpose—and given the means to raise concerns as needed.

Our Students

Because of The Whigham School’s commitment to accountability and responsibility, the students of The Whigham School will be held to the same standard as the school holds itself. All students will sign a pledge to uphold the mission/vision of the school and its statement of values.

Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy

The Whigham School is committed to providing an educational and work environment in which all persons are treated with dignity and respect. The Whigham School prohibits discrimination, including harassment, of any employee, student, guest or visitor because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, pregnancy (including childbirth, or related medical condition), national origin, age, disability, veteran’s status, genetic information or any other personal characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law. The Whigham School also prohibits retaliation against any person because the person filed a complaint of discrimination or because the person participated in any manner in the investigation and resolution of a complaint of discrimination or harassment.
